Medium-sized installation projects on an apartment building in Warsaw obtained within few minutes. Comparison of standard and efficient installation.

WThe full version of the ScanTheSun application was used to prepare two photovoltaic installation projects:

  • standard installation design where the panels are placed within the roof plane,
  • effective installation design in which the direction, tilt and spacing of the panels are calculated for each roof plane to ensure maximum insolation and energy yield.

Both design energy yield efficiencies are compared. Advantages of an effective desing:

  • increasing the energy yield from solar modules
  • reduction of investment costs
  • use of seemingly suboptimal roof surfaces
